Le palais de la Porte dorée, chef d'œuvre d'architecture Art-Déco à Paris, abrite La Cité Nationale de l'Histoire de l'Immigration. Cette institution témoigne de la riche histoire de l'immigration en France. La chronologie s'étend du Hall d'Honneur jusqu'à l'espace Repères, l'exposition permanente de la Cité Nationale de l'Histoire de l'Immigration. Comment investir l'ensemble des escaliers et rendre cette signalétique de médiation accessible à tout les types de publics ?
À travers des courtes biographies de grandes figures de l'histoire de l'immigration française et des documents historiques, la chronologie retrace l'histoire de l'immigration en France, de la Révolution à nos jours. Y sont introduits des photos, documents d'époque, des formes et des symboles. Une multitude de croix évoquent les flux migratoires et l'histoire de la rencontre entre les cultures. Un noir, un gris et un rose vif viennent rythmer l'ensemble de la frise.

The National City of the History of Immigration, an institution that reflects the rich history of immigration in France, is housed inside the Palais of the Porte Dorée, a masterpiece of Parisian Art Deco architecture. How build, investing the entire staircase, a descriptive signage understandable by any audience ? The chronology extends from the Hall of Honor to the “Espace Repères,” where the permanent collection of the National City of the History of Immigration is displayed.
Through short biographies of major figures of the French history of Immigration as well as historical documents, the exhibition traces the History of Immigration in France, from the Revolution to the present day. We introduced photographs, period documents, forms and symbols and used a multitude of plus signs to evoke the migration flux and the history of intercultural exchange.. Black, gray and bright pink appear to punctuate the entire frieze.
